Christmas can be a painful time for some. Grief, illness, depression, loneliness, and loss are magnified during the holiday season. Perhaps you or someone you know may be suffering. You know that they need space and time to acknowledge the sadness and concern, they need to know they are not alone. For these reasons, the Melvin (IL) United Methodist Church is offering a special “Blue Christmas” service on Friday, December 21st, at 7:00 p.m. Come out and join them in prayer, scripture, and music acknowledging God’s presence for those who mourn, those who struggle. It is a time for solace & healing, meditation & peace, during the busy and stressful holiday season. Everyone is welcome.
